You have succeeded in providing us with a valid method for the measurement of training – a first in the Training & Development field. We are very pleased with the results, and I see great “value” in using your method.

We were impressed to find that an evaluation of a dozen individuals could be used to so accurately describe the organizational personality of our staff.

Armed with the information the Value Profile provided, our managers were better able to capitalize on their strengths and overcome their weaknesses. As a direct result of your program, we have made significant progress in assessing individual management style and versatility, including measurement of attitudes with regard to the job, co-workers & subordinates, policies & procedures, detail work, etc. We have improved communication between management and subordinates as well as management and administration. You have helped us to provide for improved job alignment and better career planning, and to identify a Department profile against which prospective employees can be assessed for compatibility. I am pleased to admit that your work not only exceeded my expectations, but has provided the Health Physics Department many short-term benefits and the promise of much greater long-range help as we apply the information gained. We are appreciative of your assistance and look forward to continued association.

Lisk Associates has used the Hartman Value Profile (HVP) as a part of a selection and on-boarding process for a number of years. We help companies create the best match between position and candidate, and help the new hire quickly become a part of the team.
The HVP provides a unique perspective on a person’s talents and areas for development that is just not available from other assessments. As a result we are able to help clients make excellent hiring choices, and point out the high leverage areas for coaching and development of the new hire.
I am able to use the HVP with confidence because of the unmatched coaching and support I have received over the last five years from Dr Dave and Vera Mefford. Dr. Dave has a unique insight into what Hartman had in mind because he studied directly with him. And, he is willing and able to patiently convey that knowledge to others.
Dr. Dave and Vera are wonderful models for Hartman’s intrinsic dimension. They treat everyone with love and respect and teach the need for valuing others intrinsically with their actions. I have been blessed to have them as mentors and friends.

All assessments are useful in screening applicants and investigating their aptitudes, but the Value Profile does it best and in far less time. The interviewer can easily eliminate at least 75% of the applicants not suited for the position offered; then, the executive can select from the screened group with far less loss of expensive, executive time.

I have been employing the Hartman Value Profile at the Veteran’s Administration Outpatient Clinic as well as in my private practice. It has proven to be a valuable tool in my assessment of patient problems and in the setting of goals for psychotherapy as well as biofeedback training. The HVP is a powerful new approach to understanding human behavior and influencing it therapeutically.

Over the past decades, I have administered thousands of Hartman Value Profiles while working with individuals, groups, and research in various situations. I have found it to be beneficial for obtaining a quick, but profound reflection of personality structure. It has proven valuable in pinpointing specific strengths and weaknesses, gauging progress in therapy, and indicating group characteristics. The HVP is a unique instrument which has broad applications in many areas.

When we first heard about the Value Profile, I admit I did not believe it could do all that you claimed. Now, after seeing the results of my own assessment and the results of all my employees, I am convinced it is the best personnel assessment available. You promised a cost to savings ratio of at least 1:4, and although this was not immediately evident with our clerical and management staff, the performance of our sales staff has substantially improved. This increase in sales volume alone has fulfilled you guarantee. We tried your motivation suggestions with our lowest producers and the results were positive in every case. Now, every sales person is performing up to standard.

Over the last 8 years, I have used the HVP as a development tool for hundreds of sales people in a variety of industries. When I provide an interpretation, I often have both the sales manager and the sales representative present. Many times I have heard one or both say, ”The results are uncanny…how can ‘they’ know this from the profile.” Accuracy indications from both sides have ranged from 90-100% correct. The profile and interpretations have been very helpful to: understand a person’s developed sales strengths; understand a person’s development needs; know how to best motivate a person; recommend appropriate training; learn the state of a person’s job satisfaction; recognize a person’s level of self-motivation; set a 90-day action plan for improvement. Thanks for your expert support and service of Hartman Value Profiles.

I am writing this letter to tell you how valuable the profile your company did on our employees was for our agency. It accomplished several things: each of us, from top management on down had the opportunity of doing an inventory on our performance skills; it enabled us to identify which skills needed further development and those which simply required reinforcement. At the point and time that you conducted the profile, we were at the crossroads of growth and development – for our agency it was an invaluable tool that helped steer us all in the right direction. Finally, each profile was amazingly accurate.

I was a recent participant in your program and have digested the results of my value profile, using them to make necessary changes with very beneficial results. I would recommend that State Farm use this assessment for agent development and future agency candidates.

The program was very valuable to me. I have been using the Value Profile for several years now, and have found it to be a very reliable tool in determining whom to hire. What is most exciting is the accuracy of the results, and knowing what makes a good salesperson. Decisions can be made more objectively and logically, thereby greatly reducing the risk. The Value Profile has no doubt saved us a great deal of money, but more than that, it has saved us the most valuable commodity, time. I was astonished at how true a picture the profile paints – we thought it was too good to be true. My company is using it for screening potential hires, and current employees also take the profile every 6 months as part of a personnel development program. I h aven’t found a case where any of them has said ‘that’s not me.’
