The Robert S. Hartman Institute for Formal and Applied Axiology
The Value Source Group has strong affiliations with the non-profit Hartman Institute, located in Knoxville, Tennessee. Dr. David Mefford is a founding member of the Insitute, has served as past Vice President and Secretary, and continues to serve as Vice President of Academic Issues, and on the several Institute committees. Vera has been a member of the Institute for over 30 years, and also served as past Vice President, as well as being the program chairperson for many years. She is currently the Associate Editor of the Journal of Formal Axiology: Theory and Practice. TVSG’s Oral Review Board members, Dr. Leon Pomeroy and Dr. Arthur Ellis have both served as past Presidents of the Institute. They are long-time board members, with Dr. Ellis retaining the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Dr. Pomeroy serving as Global Axiological Ambassador and President Emeritus. Dr. Rem Edwards, member of our Christian Review Board, is also a founding member of the Institute and continues to serve as Secretary and Webmaster. He is also the Senior Editor of the Journal of Formal Axiology: Theory and Practice, a publication of the Robert S. Hartman Institute.
The Hartman Institute does not endorse or certify Axiologists or Axiological Service Providers. It does provide the best, global forum for Axiologists to gather annually, share papers and presentations, new applications, and research. We encourage anyone interested in the formal study and/or application of value theory and axiological science to visit the Hartman Institute’s website at www.hartmaninstitute.org and consider becoming a member.

Hi, I am pleased to introduce Growth Management Associates "Profiles in Hospitality". My name is Joe Creegan, President since 1990. My resume reflects 21 years in corporate America with companies like Carnation, Baxter Travenol, Hilton, Sheraton, & Marriott. As consultants in Interpersonal & Organizational Development we've waited a long time for an instrument specific to our industry.
My passion to better understand what makes hotel companies successful was driven by my experience with Residence Inn. I had the privilege of joining RI in the early stages of development (1985) which led to an exciting career culminating with VP of Operations for Residence Inn by Marriott just two years later.
The acquisition (of Residence Inn) by Marriott in 1987 fueled my desire to become a student of "organizational behavior" and the role culture plays in a company's success.
After years of research and consulting with companies big & small, it always came down to the "people": how they felt about the company they worked for and how management felt about them.
My mentor and college professor in graduate school, Bill Buys, PhD., Western Michigan University, said it the most succinctly: "people operate at the feeling level".
He was right. And once I uncovered the secrets (and found the tools) of how those successful cultures were born, my course was set.
I've felt honored to have had clients like; Forbes Hamilton, Signature World Wide & their clients Hampton Inn, Hilton, Embassy Suites, Courtyard by Marriott, Choice Brand hotels, Public Storage, and other small to medium sized companies too numerous to mention, where I have consulted or performed training.
By luck or blessing I've associated and learned from the best. My greatest reward is helping your business achieve its objectives and your people maximize their potential.
After visiting my web site (www.oadtampa.com) call or email for an appointment to discuss your company's needs. I'm here to help. 727-422-3095 or email: jcreegan@oadtampa.com

Inner Tactics
What if you could discover how your athlete’s mind is wired? Better yet, what if you knew the exact make-up of your athlete’s mental map that would give you insight as to how to leverage their inner strengths and address any potential areas of weakness?
If you're like most professionals who work with athletes, you're facing increasing pressure to identify and develop athletic talent at all ages and levels of ability. While identifying physical talent is fairly simple in terms of determining a player's forty yard dash, vertical jump, short shuttle, or any other number of fitness parameters, what is not easy is objectively determining a player's mental capacity to perform.
If You Have Tried Traditional Sports Psychology Assessments before...
For the first time in the history of sport psychology, there is now a performance profile that can objectively determine a player's mental map. In fact, this profile is so unique that it has little to do with the traditional field of sports psychology.
Never before have athletes, coaches, agents, teams, and parents had access to measuring inner potential as it relates to decision making ability. While traditional sports psychology focuses primarily in the areas of behavior and social concepts, the Pro-Sports profile measures HOW an athlete actually thinks. This information gives great insight into how best to communicate with athletes and how to leverage their mental strengths and manage any area(s) of potential weakness.
Athlete By Design
Athlete By Design works with a wide variety of individual athletes, teams, and organizations at all levels of performance. This may include a player returning from injury, a young athlete hoping to get a college scholarship, or a professional athlete looking to improve player value.
Coming back from a recent injury? We offer one of the most cutting-edge sports therapy programs available. Whether it's a pulled muscle such as a hamstring, a torn ligament such as an ACL, or a strained tendon such as rotator cuff tendonitis, we can help you return to play quickly and efficiently.
